In Lahore. After narrowly escaping an attempted murder during a protracted protest against the Sharif-led government, former Pakistani premier Imran Khan latest update was that he was released from the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore on Sunday.
The PTI chairman was given permission to go home by the medical board, according to reports in the local media, and his discharge paperwork was produced based on his routine medical reports.
A politician who was formerly a cricket player had bullet splinters removed from his right leg earlier. His right leg apparently fractured because one of the bullet fragments was so close to the bone.
To aid in the healing of the fracture, plaster was put to his leg in the interim.
